Certificate in International Commerce

The Puerto Rico Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) is offering a cycle of seminars that will lead towards receiving a certificate in international commerce. This set of seminars is being given by the Center for International Commerce, which is part of the SBTDC. The list of dates and topics includes:

• 10th of October - The export process
• 17th of October - Financing alternatives
• 24th of October - Logistics, transportation, and documentation
• 31st of October - Investigation of international markets
• 7th of November - Legal aspects of international commerce
• 14th of November - Internet for international commerce
• 28th of November - International marketing strategies.

The seminars will be held in the SBDC office on Union Plaza, 10th Floor, #416 Ponce de León, Hata Rey. Each seminar has a cost of $60 and will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. To register or information call (787) 763-2665.

Cursos de Coordinación de Eventos Corporativos y Bodas

Are you planning a wedding? Want to learn how event designers make their magic? Are you looking for a new career opportunity? Would you like to learn how to plan successful company events? Well then maybe you'd like to attend a course on how to "Coordinating Weddings" or plan "Corporate Events". The professionals at the School of Event Designers is offering two courses.

First, in the "Corporate Events" course, you'll learn from historic data what works and what doesn't. You'll learn how to analyze the situation and design a successful event. In addition you'll learn how to distribute space, organize sources of funding, and manage audiovisual resources. This course will start on April 12th, and run for four (4) Thursdays. The cost is $145 and each class will run from 6:00 PM until 8:15 PM. Second, in the "Coordinating Weddings" course, you'll learn how to create a budget, manage invoicing, and develop plans. In addition, you'll learn the finer points of protocol, current trends, and how to coordinate the reception, including the receiving line.
